Hey everyone!
It's gonna be November tomorrow and if you're wondering why I bring it up it's because it's 12 months countdown till I bid farewell to my flying days (One more year and 5-year contract is up).
Happy belated birthday Ann, good to know that we get to see you soon ;) Always looking forward to a Young Ones reunion before everyone flies off to different countries...

My sister in New York is returning on 26th Nov and I can't wait for all of you to meet her. She has not been to church in NY for 2 months and it got me concerned. Her reason being that her church encouraged pple to speak in tougues and she was uncomfortable. In New York there is hardly any church that is similiar to GLCC.
I was reading what Terence wrote and totally agree with the words "we ought not to fear men but God". I admit there's so many times I weigh the opinions of people, fearing my colleagues...etc. What a load off when you just present all worries and cares to God, He will make make a way :)
No matter what challenges you are facing today, from the minor to the major...trust that the Lord is with you, His grace is sufficent for thee.

Hey YoungOnes!
Got my company laptop home and decided to check out our blog. Think most of us are busy because of work/exams. But continue to seek Him first!
Thank God for good time of dinner with my parents last night. They're in Singapore till Sat, a stop-over to attend a wedding dinner. Good time of catching up with them.
Work-wise, things are in God's hands. As you may know, the top guy Philip is leaving and a new guy would be coming in. Lots of changes amongst the senior management. But God has been good. There's a slight possibility that I may not need to deal with the mad scientist. But even if that doesn't happen, He'll give grace because we ought not to fear men but God.
And yes, there's no such thing as job security in govt-service. Thank God for sustaining me with a job. Lots of changes coming up, but I can see it's all in His hands.
Let's all keep trusting and surrendering our all for His best and pray for one another!

Hi young ones,
Im once again accessing internet in my crew lounge in New York to drop you guys a note. It is very cold in NY now with a temp of 7 degrees on average.
It's a good time of catching up with my sister before she returns Singapore next month. I had such extensive shopping lists from people that it kept me busy.
Even at work, I just thank God for protection and also surviving the 2 legs sin-frankfurt and fra-NY sectors.I actually dread working on the way back because l'll have to face tough colleagues...trust that God will see me through the ordeal.. :)
ACTS and our little group need our prayers at this moment. Only with prayer can God work in our lives...conmtinue to run the race :)
Meantime, take care and hope to see you guys real soon.

hey all,
sorry for jet lagging in reply too. Im now in Abu Dhabi and using the internet in the crew room to write to you guys. I have been spending my time just catching up on my sleep and also readin this book which aunty Grace loan me. About the warring ages in Cambodia during 1975-1979 and the christian churches which sprung up at that time of bloodshed and terror.
Yup, so grateful that we are living at the present ages and now we can go everywhere in the world (almost everywhere). Like Gina, I think you will really like Finland...so European and different. A very good exposure Im sure.
Cant wait to see you guys this friday... :) Meantime take care and GOd bless!

Hey guys, just a short update. i havent been writing because i forgot the username again! anyway, the main point of writing this entry is to inform you guys that i'm going to finland in Jan!!!! =) thank God!!! i'll take pictures and i'll write in here when i'm there. but now..it's 7 more weeks of torture!! =(

Hi everyone, I'm writing this blog out of my comfort zone. You might be wondering why I'm saying this. Is it a reminiscence of last Sunday's sermon?
It's been a headache for me since my laptop crashed. After going to the IBM tech ctr and Funan, the prognosis of my 3-year-old-warranty-just-expired laptop is that it's market value now is par with the casing and the gold wires inside the chip. No hope of resusitation. To change the Motherboard, I was told to fork out at least $700 for a 2nd-hand one. If i'd like the IBM guys to fix it, it's at least $1100.
So what do I do? I need to blog, to email and go online, etc. And now, I'm using Lish's com to do some blogging. Just want to thank God for kicking me out of my current comfort zone of using my laptop for the Internet when at home.
Share with you guys. Recently, I've been attending Worker's Svc at 845am and then Chinese Svc at 1030am. Hope to pick up the Chinese tool that I left to rust since I was 18 during JC. That's probably about 7 years ago. Seeing how Pastor Paul, Chee Keen and even some jiak kentang bros and sis taking the effort to reach out to China encourages me to do likewise. Language is a powerful life-long tool which helps us to cross barriers to other countries. When we let God use our not-so-powderful Mandarin for His glory, we'll see Him work. Both Pastor Paul and Chee Keen are living testimonies of God's grace.
Before I end of this entry, just want to thank God for the Friday at botak Jones and a new visitor Nelly. It was one of the most intimate sharings that we had as a group. Lots of liberty. Lots of encouragement. And lots of insights into the race of our lives.
Let's continue to pray for each other, seeking God in our holy place daily and setting aside this time profitably, and we'll see ourselves growing stronger in our relationship with Him.

hEY Ya...
So happy to hear from you Ann...the photo of Melbourne's Great Ocean Road (Hope I got it right) is just awesome. Brings back memories of the holiday I had with a group of gal pals studying there in 2003. One brave friend of mine drove 4 hours there during the peak of winter just for us to see the 12 apostles (which seems to me left 4 only).
I had car sick then, was complaining until I saw the sight of God's wonderful creation- nature 101. I bet you had apple struddle in Perth? Glad you could take time off school to sightsee and unwind.
We are certainly looking forward to your return in Nov. Keep us posted yar? Shanci is back in London and will return very soon in 2 months. When is David exactly back in Singapore? We'll have our Young Ones reunion in weeks to come.. :)
Trust that the week has gone by fast for you as it has for me. Do keep Terence in prayer as he combats his mad scientist colleague (who just doesn' register teamwork) and his laptop that crashed and lost in cyberland.

shopping..thats what i did alot of in perth, either than that i spent alot of time with friends.
Sights from my roadtrip that i went on after i came back from perth. Spent my 2 week holiday away from the city and relaxing. the beach fronts were amazing and i even got to see whales. the sights really reminded me that there is so much more to this world then just us and how amazing God is and how much bigger He is compared to us.Sorry that i haven't been blogging much but i've been terribly busy. Uni just started again and already i have 3 assignments to worry about. I miss you all back home but i'll be back before you know it. Actually i wanted to come back in time for my bday at the end of Oct, but i've decided to finish my essays frist before coming back, at the moment my flight is booked on the 10th of nov, but i may change it to alil later to allow myself some time to sort out everything. I can't wait to see you all again and i hope all of you are doing well in your respective lives. Much love from me to you <3

Dear young ones,
When I took this shot of Copenhagen, I had no idea it was the famous postcard picture in souvenir shops. (The European version of Clarke Quay...hee)
It was a beautiful sight and the weather was great too. Many people there speak English unlike Frankfurt/Amsterdam. My colleague claimed the people in Copenhagen less abnoxious so they speak to you in English also.
Remember one of my prayer requests to you guys was better working relationshp with my team people? God is so good in answering prayers...I did 4 consecutive team flight ranging a day to 5 days and they were all pleasant flights. Despite minor politics like how the juniors are nick-picked by the senior ones, I can relate to them and not be affected .
Also, I was given a superb check report and praised by the inflight supevisor for a job well done. Had I taken the easy way out by changing away this Copenhagen, I would have had more problems. Just thank God for next 2 months it's non-team flying so least I need not stress over the team politics.
So happy to see all of you on Sunday...I touched down at 5.30am and reached church at 10am. First person I saw was Gina accompanied by her mom and 2 friends (sorry I had no idea it was your mom till A. Nancy intro-ed us), then there was Jonathan greeting people at the Church entrance, XiuZhen joined us for lunch, Delaine came over followed by Meishan and also passed by Michelle who looked great in her outfit and lugging goodie packs for kids at nursery (?). Peijun sat with us for service and Pastor Paul led the sermon. It was good to be in church after an absence of 2 weeks, to see everyone present and happy :)
This friday we are meetng at Terence's place for decentralised ACTS and glad no one groaned at the mention of his place for the 5th time...hehheh. Would have loved to open up my place if not for my sis who guards her property fiercely. The place we'll be having dinner is called Botak Jones, newly opened below Terence's block. Sells great American food, wished David was here to verify it's authencity ;) The price is reasonable so come with an empty stomach.
